NATURAL LAW

Natural Law is a video by Anna Fríða Jónsdóttir. The ever breaking humanity gets rebuilt at the speed of the core seeking itself, in a circulating rhythm. Governed by ever-changing systems and ideologies, the lost and the discarded haunts us like ghosts in a fog. Sounds of the past resonate into our presence in various forms although we perceive them as normality. History pumps through the veins of humanity in an undying quest for a moment of freedom. The video accompanied by a sound performance was part of The Silver Lining exhibition, organized by Kunstverein Schichtwechsel, an art association from Lichtenstein at Venice Biennale 2015.

Anna Fríða Jónsdóttir is born in Iceland. She holds a B.A in Visual arts form the Iceland Academy of the Arts (2010), and M.A. in Art and Science from Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna (2013). She participated in Lorna’s Melting on ice project with a performance at the Pikslaverk festival in Reykjavík in May 2015. Her work has been shown in various venues in Reykjavík, Lichtenstein, Brno, Vienna, Hamburg and Venice.
